Welcome to First Steps Childminding!
A little bit about us!
Hi, my name is Danni! I provide a childcare service from our new dedicated premises in the middle of Holbeach town centre. We have a dedicated play space filled with natural and open ended resources. We like to follow the curiosity approach as much as possible to allow the children to explore and play with different natural materials.
I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage to guide your little one’s learning and help promote their development. You as a parent have opportunity to view photos and observations of your child’s learning most days through our observation app which allows us to share the exciting moments and milestones they are reaching with us easily while you cannot be there with them.
I offer care from 7:30am until 5:30pm Monday - Thursday (Fridays are at capacity for the foreseeable future)
We aim to go out in the garden most days in all weathers to explore and play, alongside fun and exciting nature walks outside of the setting weekly in our quad pushchairs. We meet regularly with other childminders as well as trips out and attend local groups, which gives your child plenty of opportunities to build relationships and learn to play alongside other children outside my care.

I make it a priority to provide a safe and inviting environment for all of my children. We love to explore and have fun. With all services I provide, parents stay calm and relaxed whenever they leave their children in my care and know they can communicate with me at every given opportunity. As an experienced Child Care Provider, I am here to provide the quality care your children deserve.
I offer the government funded hours for 9+months to 4 year olds. This includes the extended hours across half terms too!

Before and After School Club and Holiday Club.
In Safe Hands
Years of experience have made it clear that parents often need a quality Child Care Provider at short notice. I always do my best to accommodate all needs of parents and carers current and new so don’t hesitate to get in touch with requests you may have.
I offer a collection and drop off to one local school in my area. If you would like this please get into contact with me as conditions apply.
Holiday Club- We no longer have space for school aged children to access the half term care due to being at full capacity.

Danni looked after my daughter when she started pre school. She was a breath of fresh air to see when we had such a bad experience at a different setting previously. Danni was always there daily seeing us in and handing over at the end of the day which was always fantastic as it felt we were getting that special one to one time knowing what our daughter had been up to all day while we both slogged hard at work. whenever we had anything to ask or needed help (like renewing our 30 hour code! so pleased we don't have to do that anymore!) Danni was always there to help nothing was ever too much and all the parents and children in her care was always so happy.
